My name is Sarah. I live happily ever after in a life that is so much better than anything I ever planned, with my husband Jon, our TWINS?! (it must always be typed thus) Etta and Claire, our two puppygirls, Ollie (Olive) and Bess (Bessie), and a cat, Tinycat, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
I only recently decided what to be when I grow up, having spent years torn between getting a PhD in literature and opening my own cup cakery (I even had a name picked out). I ended up deciding to pursue my passion for literature, keeping my cooking as a hobby, and I am a graduate student in the English Lit MA program at the University of Central Arkansas. My long-term goal is to be a college English professor.

I blog about things I care about, including: parenting, sustainability and environmentalism, slow/ethical food, following Jesus/spirituality, gardening, cooking, sewing, feminism and gender issues, poverty, hunger, health/disease, social justice, peace, pet parenthood, marriage, my adventures in public transportation, politics, and the funny and poignant in everyday life.
About the name of this blog: Yes, I know I spelled “buffalo” differently than it is traditionally spelled. This is because the name of the site, “Ernie Buff-lo” is exactly how I said the name when I gave it to myself as a small child. B-U-F-F-L-O.
